First Look of my mini 998

my son taking a closer look at the just acquired mini.
last night i removed one of the headlights to check the wiring,

i have started to remove all the fittings for the restoration works

so far, i have removed the following...
front and rear bumpers
front and rear reg no plates
front grille
all seats
headlining
all locks and handles
all interior linings and fittings
door rubber seal

Now looking at the interior, i see only the bear metal shell, and some loose wiring

Technical Issues

My mini purchase has been delayed by some technical issues... the car can not go thru the inspection (for owner's name transfer) yet, pending some more repairs / modifications.

Buying the Mini car...

I am very close to buying the Mini car for my restoration project, so keeping my fingers cross-x now, still need to settle some technical issues before the purchase can proceed, i.e. go for Puspakom inspection and changing of car reg ownership at JPJ...

I have been looking at several minis for sale for the past 3 months, since Oct'2010, most minis lost their original fixtures, like the seats, steering wheel, meters, etc,,, these can be replaced, but could be costly if you are looking for the period & model correct ones... I hope to find one with the original seats, meters, steering, the rest can be after market parts...

I came across this Mini which I am hoping to buy (still keeping my fingers x) from the ad, and straight away call the number, after some brief descriptions of the car's conditions, i quickly arranged for an appointment to view the car...
